Using toll management software, you can effectively manage your service fleet and tolls with the touch of a button.

FAQs About Tolls in Pennsylvania for Fleets

We've answered some of the most frequently asked questions about navigating tolls for trucking and service fleets with six or more vehicles.

1. How Much Are Tolls in Pennsylvania?

Pennsylvania toll prices vary. When your fleet uses the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Turnpike extensions, the tolls will be based on vehicle weight, axles or both. Toll prices can also depend on where vehicles enter and exit the turnpike, the payment method used and the distance traveled. The Pennsylvania toll roadway system includes:

  • Turnpike I-376
  • Turnpike 66
  • Turnpike 576
  • Mainline I-76/I-276/I-95
  • Turnpike 43 - Mon/Fayette Expressway
  • Northeast Extenstention I-476

For 2024, fleet owners can expect a price increase for commercial vehicles, which will round up to the nearest dime. Visit the Pennsylvania Turnpike website for more information about toll prices for commercial vehicles

Bestpass has developed a strategy that allows you to manage all toll charges for your fleet in a single, easy-to-use platform with steep discounts.

2. Can I Use E-ZPass on Pennsylvania Tolls?

Yes. E-ZPass and several other transponders from nearby states are accepted on Pennsylvania toll roads. E-ZPass drivers receive discounted toll rates and save up to 60% on toll roads. You can calculate the customized cost of your toll based on your route and vehicle class with the Pennsylvania toll calculator. Multi-leg trips should be calculated separately.

3. How Do I Pay Pennsylvania Tolls?

Pennsylvania tolls can only be paid electronically using an E-ZPass, the Toll by Plate system or another transponder. Pittsburgh and Harrisburg tolls must be paid on the I-76/I-276 Mainline Turnpike with an E-ZPass, another transponder or the Toll by Plate system by mail or online. Philadelphia tolls can be paid on the I-76/I-276 Mainline or on the I-95 Connector.

4. How Do I Pay a Missed Toll in Pennsylvania?

Vehicles without a transponder will receive an invoice for unpaid tolls. Fleet owners can pay the invoice by mail or online.

5. What Happens If I Don't Pay My Toll?

Vehicle registrations may be suspended if your driver has more than six unpaid tolls or over $500 in unpaid tolls. You can visit the Pennsylvania Turnpike website to look up and pay your unpaid tolls.
